The next paper to read is the one suggested by @Michael Färber :
Reducing Higher-Order Theorem Proving to a Sequence of SAT Problems, by Chad Brown
What remains is to choose if we meet in two weeks or in three. The proposal was that we decide based on the complexity of the paper.

By the way, how is the meeting supposed to take place? I saw that Zoom was previously used, and I'm concerned about using it for security reasons (it's also not allowed to use it at INRIA anymore, for example).

Do you have any suggestion?
2020-05-01 12:9:15 (GMT)
I heard there is Facebook Messenger Rooms which is free and only the person setting up the meeting needs to have FB
2020-05-01 12:9:54 (GMT)
It supports up to 50 people, and nobody found any security holes AFAIK
2020-05-01 13:16:34 (GMT)
I've been happy with Google Meet as well, if anybody has an account that can create events

the jitsi stream didnt work too bad for most of us either, i believe? i think it was mostly haniel who had a problem
2020-05-01 13:24:45 (GMT)
It was bad only in the beginning, taking a while to get going smoothly.

Achtung: The version behind the paywall is cleaner, and does not have some annoying errors the version for Saarbru:cken website has
2020-05-04 8:22:2 (GMT)
Hi All, could someone post the Springer version? Thanks!
2020-05-04 8:30:14 (GMT)
I'm also on the wrong side of the paywall. Incidentally, Pascal, any chances the board of trustees starts a move to LIPIcs?
2020-05-04 8:38:3 (GMT)
There is not a strong push towards LIPIcs. Springer is now pretty open to author versions in open repositories. Now, if the authors do not put their last version on line, this is indeed annoying...

@Jasmin Blanchette You should be able to get past the paywall. Just add a bookmark to javascript:void(location.href='http://vu-nl.idm.oclc.org/login?url='+location.href). Then, when you are on the Springer page of the article, click on the bookmark and log in.

Then don't tell them about Library Genesis

I think we should reach a conclusion before the end of the week regarding the date of the next bookclub meeting.
According to the votes, the meeting should be next week (at 15:00 CEST). The only thing I would like to make sure of is that Michael Färber, who is the most knowledgeable of us concerning Satallax, as well as the one that suggested this particular paper, is available next week. @Michael Färber : are you?
2020-05-07 12:53:40 (GMT)
Of course there is also the option of following the votes no matter when Michael is available.
